The Fluegel Knights - One of Those Songs

1. One Of Those Songs
2. Cabaret
3. The Crusades
4. Everybody Loves My Baby
5. Horn Duey
6. Castle Holiday
7. In The Still Of The Night
8. Camelot
9. Miniskirt Waltz
10. Who's Afraid Of The Big Bad Wolf
11. A Lover's Concerto

I found this on Usenet this morning, (posted by MisterB). (It might be the same copy posted on "Third Island" last February, I don't know its real origin.)

This album I used to treasure, mostly for "Castle Holiday", a song the Diarrhea Roses used to cover (poorly, I'm sure).
Another standout, "Everybody Loves My Baby" (theme music to the television show "Celebrity Bowling" (1971 to 1978.)

Produced by Bob Thompson
Music Director, Dick Behake (aka King Richard)

Posted by Tiltowait on Usenet.
(Beats my scratchy, poppy, abortion of a rip...)

"After a series of pleasant but forgettable choral recordings, Walter Schumann teamed with fellow composer Leith Stevens to create the remarkable Exploring the Unknown, a dramatic and innovative space-pop fantasia that punctuates its lush orchestration and celestial vocals with chilling spoken word narration contributions from actor Paul Frees. Tracing the arc of an interstellar adventure from launch through descent, the album brilliantly captures both the childlike wonder and alien foreboding of the world beyond Earth. To their credit, the creators treat the material with the utmost seriousness, lending gravitas to the sensation of weightlessness". ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide.

How many records/tapes/CDs could have possibly survived this inferno? Plus, exposure to rain, snow, etc for over 8 years. Today, I scrounged around the rubble and ash of my old burned out shack on MV and found:
Records = 0
Tapes = 8 or 9 (Bonus, found ...some old Diarrhea Roses practice tapes!)
CDs = 198 (Stashed under what was left of my bed, cases melted, but CDs in good shape, perfectly playable)
